Attracted to dance from a young age, I’ve always had a passion to move. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at California State University, Long Beach, where my education was largely in body mechanics and healthy movement performance. I was introduced to yoga at age 22 and instantly hooked, I was certified and teaching that same year. My interest in eastern philosophy was piqued, but it was my mom's story that led me to acupuncture. At this time, she had been living with chronic pain for the greater part of my life and western medication was not working anymore. Luckily a friend referred her to an acupuncturist who gave her sustainable improvement and changed the quality of her life forever. I had to know more about this ancient medicine.
In 2015, I received a Master of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine including the study of qi gong, meridian theory, herbs, cupping, tuina massage, guasha, and nutrition. I hold the intention to care for my community and assist them to pain-free living through education and treatment of the subtle body. A forever student, I have also spent time learning Thai Yoga Massage, the MELT Method, Qi Gong, and trauma-informed yoga with Living Yoga.
